Location Profile

Constructed originally in the 1980s to modernise Ryde's waterfront, Ryde Harbour sits on the north-east coast of the Isle of Wight, looking directly across the Solent toward Portsmouth. Historically, Ryde evolved as the Gateway to the Island thanks to its famous Victorian pier (the oldest working pleasure pier in the UK). Over recent decades, the marina and surrounding Esplanade have transformed into an essential gathering zone for maritime visitors and petrolhead culture alike. Speed Demons UK honors this unique island destination, bridging mainland UK riders with Isle of Wight motorcycle enthusiasts across all engine sizes.
